The Bramham Community Fund was established in 2003 to distribute the money raised from the sale of Residents’ tickets for the Leeds Festival.
Approximately half of the money comes from donations made by residents who pay a contribution towards a heavily discounted ticket for the event and the other half is a donation from the promoter, Festival Republic. Applications for Community Projects, which benefit the residents of the parish, are to be submitted to the secretary (Colin Pool) before 1 December each year. The Fund does not support commercial activities or private individuals. Every year, a committee under the chairmanship of Nick Lane Fox and on which the Parish Council is represented, meets to consider applications for grants from community organisations. Since the Fund was set up, it has made grants of over £200,000.
